This was mainly down to the bowling of Nikhil Bharti who finished with fine figures of 5-10 off only 3.1 overs.
Don Marshall then hit 52 in reply for Civil Service, but with none of the other batsmen getting to grips with the bowling they were all out for 138 in 35 overs.

Warenford’s promotion push in the second division continued with a big ten wicket home win over Bomarsund.

Also in Division 3, Tillside 2nds went down to a five wicket defeat at the hands of Gateshead EM.
Tillside batted first and got off to a decent start with Dave Reay on 32, Law Atkinson on 28 and Jamie Pick on 26.
But with tailender Hamish Miller the only other main contributor on 22, they finished on 164-8.
