In a game which possibly neither side deserved to win,it was the visitors who, with the last piece of action of the game, snatched all three points from second placed Kelso.

Kelso started by far the hungrier and were in relative control when Grant Sharp delivered a great ball for Mark Purves to nip in and give the visitors the lead.

Tweedmouth took control of the game but Kelso still caused the visitors right flank all kinds of problems and it was from this area where Kelso played a ball into the box and a penalty was rightfully awarded when a home forward was brought down and the resulting spot kick drew the sides level.

With the introduction on midfield lynchpin JB Clark,Tweedmouth looked slightly more comfortable in the second half and could have took the lead when Nicky Clark, Powling, and the impressive Sharp all had chances but it was a case of ‘smash and grab’ when centre half Martin Gibb rose like a salmon to power home from a corner to give the visitors all three points,.

The result may have been a bit harsh on Kelso who put so much into the game.
