Richard Simpson becomes vice chair of Simpsons Malt

Richard Simpson, fifth-generation of the malting family, is to become vice chairman of Simpsons Malt.

Having worked at family-owned company since 1998, Richard, 40, has held many positions in the company, most recently as HR director.

In his new role, Richard will continue to work together with his father, chairman Simon Simpson, and managing director Tim McCreath on developing the company’s strategic direction.

Richard said: “I am very much looking forward to supporting my colleagues as we drive this business forward in line with our company values. Simpsons Malt has gone from strength to strength in the last 150 years and, with the backing of our stakeholders and shareholders, I relish the opportunity to play my part in its continued success.”
