Police seek information after spate of rural thefts

Police are appealing for information after a number of thefts in Berwickshire between Sunday, February 14 and Monday, February 15.

Quad bikes like this one were once again the target of rural thieves over the weekend.

A Honda quad bike (registration SF15 PTY) was stolen from a farm in Duns, a quad bike and power tools were stolen from North of Gordon, a white Transit van (ND08 OJV) was stolen from a garage in the Kelso area, a Honda quad bike and power tools were taken from a farmhouse in Duns,.

A woodchipper was also taken between Friday and Monday, from a café in Grantshouse.

Detective Constable Ashley Black said: “We are not ruling out the possibility that these thefts are linked."
