Dunbar Lyric group celebration

TO celebrate its 25th year Dunbar Lyric Group is revisiting one of its greatest hits. 'Calamity Jane' was first performed in 1990 under the direction of Norma Kinnear and the musical directorship of Frank Rennie.

The new version is to be staged at Dunbar Grammar School on March, 25, 26 and 27 at 7.30pm.

Four of those who appeared in the first version are involved - Simon Bell who played Bill has designed the scenery; Diane Kerr who was in the chorus is lending her considerable singing talent to the role of Adelaide Adams; Murray Mackay who played Joe the barman is assistant director and Gordon Roberts who played Francis Fryer is directing.

Tickets are 9 and 5 concessions and a family ticket (2+2) is also available for 20. They can be bought from The Crunchy Carrot in Dunbar High Street, from committee members and at the door.
