Following strong demand, the festival has created ‘Xplore’, a family-friendly space in a empty high street shop where children (under 13) can explore films in a fun setting and see some award-winning animation. There will be a creative zone with pads, flick-books etc and it’s completely free!

The Simpson McCreath Trust is always keen to show support for local cultural events in Berwick and the surrounding areas, as Tim McCreath explains: “This is a great opportunity for us to be involved in such an exciting new venture for the Berwick Film and Media Arts Festival. The Festival relies heavily on volunteers and the money will cover advertising and training costs to recruit additional volunteers needed from Berwick and district.”

The Festival runs from September 21-25 at The Maltings Theatre and Cinema, Berwick, and other venues throughout the town. More information at
