Spooktacular Halloween Trail launched at Paxton House
Paxton House and Woodland Gardens has launched a new Halloween Trail which will be available in October.
Suitable for children aged 12 and under, this is the perfect opportunity for some spookily good outdoor fun during the school holidays.
Families can make a day of it, taking advantage of Paxton’s play park and their Stables Tearoom serving sweet delights and light bites.
Children will need to solve all the riddles and crack the clue while exploring the enchanted grounds. Those who go all out are in for a treat as the three most scarily dressed trail goers will win a selection of Halloween goodies, courtesy of local Borders business Kath’s Cakes. To enter the competition, visitors just need to share a photo of themselves having fun on the trail to Paxton’s social media pages.
With 80 acres of grounds and gardens open to the public, there is ample room for social distancing, to ensure that your Halloween celebrations are as safe as possible. Paxton House have made regular hand sanitising stations available, as well as constantly reviewing their practices to ensure they meet all government safety guidelines.
The trail will be running every day of the Scottish Borders and Northumberland school holidays, as well as every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday of October, from 10am – 4pm. You do not need to book a timeslot in advance, please just come along on your preferred day.
Trail sheets are £4 per child and can be purchased in the Regency Gift Shop when you arrive at Paxton House. Adults require a valid grounds pass, which are £5 per day or £15 per year and can be purchased in the gift shop or at the Paxton House website, www.paxtonhouse.co.uk
