Can you really define a whole nation or a whole nationality? Can you give that nation shared characteristics, shared values and call it Scotland or Scottishness?
In an hour long show this is exactly what John McEwen’s new play ‘What am I like?’ attempts to do.
The play explores the diverse nature of Scotland and the Scots by taking the audience on a journey through time and through the words of some of Scotland’s best known and less well known wordsmiths.
The muti-media production uses images and voices to shine some light on the thorny issue of national identity and nationhood.
‘What am I like?’ can be seen in Gavinton Village Hall on Friday, March 27, at 7.30pm. Tickets £5 at door.
