All the fun of the circus comes to the Borders this half term holiday when television’s National Clown Theatre stages their all new, interactive, laughter-packed stage show ‘Cartoon Circus Live’.
Combining the comedy of pantomime with the thrill of the circus the 80 minute show features some of Britain’s funniest clowns, traditional slapstick comedy, magic, illusions, balancing, high flying diabolos, cartoon characters, plate spinning, an acrobatic human slinky, puppets, prizes and surprises. There is even a performing piranha. The tour includes Hawick Town Hall on Monday, October 10, Galashiels Volunteer Hall on Tuesday, October 11, Kelso Tait Hall on Wednesday, October 12, and Selkirk Victoria Hall on Thursday, October 13. All performances start at 1.30pm.
“We are delighted to be bringing our special family show to the Borders this half term holiday. There will be bucketfuls of laughs and gallons of fun for our first ever visit,” said Charlie Cheesecake, the shows chief laughter maker.
“Children love to laugh at slapstick, just look at the popularity of You’ve Been Framed! Some of our most popular humour dates back to court jesters but it still gets huge laughs today. We tour throughout the UK bringing miles of smiles wherever we go.”
