With this year’s event just weeks away, the 12 films shortlisted for Berwick Film Festival’s Chris Anderson Award have been nominated.
The accolade recognises brilliance in youth filmmaking and the films vying for the £200 prize include two entries from Berwick youngsters- ‘Fallen Superhero’ and ‘Dinosaur Lost in Time’.
The panel tasked with choosing the winner on Sunday, September 29 consists of digital media aficionado and chairman of the National Youth Film Academy, Rob Earnshaw, Norwegian film maker Kari Anne Moe and north Northumberberland director Alysoun Sharpe.
The event will be followed by a special screening of Kauwboy, which has been selected by young people for young people. Kauwboy – which has had success at young people’s film festivals all over the world - will be presented by Open Door Film Club, in partnership with Berwick Youth Project and with the support of Community Foundation.
Tickets for the showcase are available from The Maltings Box Office.
