‘Maybe Next Time’ was created by a group of young filmmakers, all aged 13–18 and from the Berwick area, over a series of weekly workshops and a three day shoot last summer.
The film is a mystery thriller set in Berwick in which an unknown man tries to uncover events that led to a body washed up on the beach. Hollywood blockbuster director Paul W.S. Anderson reviewed the film as “a great cinematic experience.”
Festival Director Melanie Iredale commented: “Leeds Young People’s Film Festival is one of the biggest celebrations of youth filmmaking in the UK, and I think is a huge testament to the young filmmakers behind ‘Maybe Next Time’.”
