Young Duns rugby starlet Iain Sim is on tour with the Scotland U18 squad this week, playing in a European tournament in France.
He is part of a 26-boy squad contesting the Justin Bridou FIRA Championships in Grenoble.
The competition includes England, Ireland, Wales, France, Italy, Portugal and Georgia.
The Scots played their first game against Wales on Friday when they produced a remarkable second half turnaround.
At half-time they trailed 17-3, but in the second half, with Sim used as one of the replacements, they fought back to earn a dramatic 18-17 victory.
Proud head coach Eddie Pollock said: “We showed great resolve and skill to come back from being down (3-17) and real composure in the last five minutes to keep the ball and ensure the win.”
This saw them come up against England in the semi-final of the competition on Tuesday night. Despite a battling performance the young Scots were defeated 25-12. The Scottish try scorers were North Berwick boys Ruaraidh Smith and Reece Patterson.
Scotland now go into the play-off for third and fourth places. They will take on Ireland in Stade des Alpes, Grenoble, on Saturday afternoon.
