This has now become an annual fixture for the Northumberland County Council Unification Cup and will give manager Jimmy Crease an early opportunity to see his players in action.

On Tuesday (July 13), Rangers will take on Stenhousemuir in another pre-season friendly at Ochilview (kick-off 7.30pm), and the following weekend, on Saturday, July 17 they will face Raith Rovers in their first outing at Shielfield Park, which has undergone extensive draininge work during the close season.

It will also be a first opportunity for the players to try out the new changing rooms and shower area, which has also undergone a facelift since the end of last season.

Crease is continuing to monitor the progress of several players who are currently training with the club, and is also keen to speak with last season's leading scorer, Damon Gray, who has recently been to both Finland and Sweden in an effort to try and win a contract.

So far Crease has 16 confirmed starters, but is eager to lift that number to closer to 20 before the start of the official campaign.
