Berwick’s Cameron Tindle has been picked for the GB junior team this weekend in the prestigious Loughborough international meet.

Cameron runs in the 200m and 4x100m relay team who have four world junior finalists from Columbia 2015 and are expected, weather permitting, to run close to the British junior record.

At the East of Scotland Championships held at Grangemouth at the weekend Cameron secured a championship double in the U20 Men’s 100m and 200m, taking the latter in a new championship record time of 21.44 seconds and only being denied a record double by a marginally illegal wind speed in the 100m.

Cameron, who is coached jointly by Borders stalwarts Bruce Scott and Henry Gray, said he was pleased with his early season form despite doing limited speedwork to date and has his sights on qualifying for the World Junior Championships in Poland in July.
