Berwick 1sts were celebrating last week after they won silverware in the Northumberland Cricket League.
The Pier Field side lifted the William Birkett Memorial Cup with a seven wicket win over Clara Vale in the final.
The game was played at Ashington and Berwick won with a score of 112-3 after bowling Clara out for 110.
Clara won the toss and elected to bat.
Opener Shahzad Alvi hit six fours and one six on his way to a score of 46 before he was bowled by Scott Middlemist.
But none of his team-mates were able to match his attack, with the next highest being Adeel Waheed on 18.
In all, such was the dominance of the Berwick bowlers that only three batsmen made double figures.of the main reasons for this was a hat-trick by Steven Emery who finished with figures of 5-16, whilst Middlemist claimed 3-33 and Michael Shearer 2-16.
Berwick didn’t get off to the best of starts when they lost opener Nalinda Premchandra for only five.
But fellow opener Lee Mark, who went on to make 36, and Martin Hush, who hit six boundaries, including one six, on his way to 39 not out, gave the innings a lift.
Middlemist was out for a duck, but James Patterson joined Hush for the final overs, and he contributed 13 as Berwick eased to victory.
Naveed Iqbal took 2-12 for Clara Vale.
