Dawn and David Walker travelled to Edinburgh to receive the awards, made following recommendations from Fife, the Lothians and the Borders. The final selections were made in Edinburgh by a selected panel of judges who commended the applicants on most praiseworthy services to their local communities and said their efforts reflected well on the achievements of young people everywhere. The pair’s grandfather was a Scout District Commander.
