The Michelin MX Nationals visits Duns this weekend (May 28/29) for Round 3 of the National Motocross series.
The two days of fast action racing get underway at Langtonlees after practice on Saturday at 11am. Riders from across the UK will take on the hillside venue with the natural terrain and additional man-made jumps making for some exciting racing.
Competitors ranging from youth to pro, will compete in 26 races across the two days and they will be looking to claim a place on the podium on Sunday evening.
Sunday’s race action gets underway at 9.30am after the professionals have completed their practice and timed training. The PROX fastest 40 give race fans the chance to see top riders battle it out in two grand prix length races.
The first rounds of the series at Preston Docks and Pontrilas produced some top action and it is hoped that there is more of the same at Duns.
Buildbase Honda have been dominant in the ProX Pro Class with Graeme Irwin taking the Red Plate into round 3 in the MX1 class and Martin Barr leading the MX2 Championship.
As well as all the track action there will also be things to do off track. The trade area will have casual wear and food outlets as well a licensed bar.
A weekend adult pass is just £10, the venue can be found to the west of Duns and will be signposted locally. The post code is TD11 3NS. Further information can be found at www.mxnationals.co.uk
