Duns driver Euan Thorburn finished an excellent third overall in Saturday’s Cambrian Rally in Wales.
This was Euan’s first outing in his new Peugeot Sport 208 T16 and he had Paul Beaton on the notes once again.
Euan said: “We set five fastest time in the eight stages against strong competition so it was a great first outing in the car.
“We had a steady run through the first few stages to get used to the car and after service we decided to push a little but on SS4 we had a spin on a right hander and ended up stuck in a ditch for over 40 seconds. However, we puished on again and set another couples of fastest times.
“Most importantly we learned a lot and built our confidence behind the wheel of the new car. We have a few changes and upgrades to make before first round of the BRC, but overall a great day, and a great car!”
