THE South of Scotland Select vaulting team have finished a very succesful season with a win at both the Scottish and British Championships in the Junior Team Class.
At the Scottish Championships the team of Stacey Macpherson, Lucy Younger, Shannon Purves, Rebecca Kinghorn, Sophie Aitchison and Izzy Kyle they performed their best set of compulsories of the year on board Aspen Delikat lunged by Rebecca Hewit. The senior team have been Scottish champions for the past four years but this is the first time they have won the Junior section.
The British Championships saw a change in the team due to a late injury to Shannon Purves so Charlie Lochhhead once again joined the team. With only one practice the whole team pulled together amazingly well and finished with their highest overall score of the season.
The day was capped with Aspen Delikat winning best team horse of the British Championships and he had also won the prize at the Scottish Championships the weekend before.
