Eyemouth United 4, Tynecastle 3 (AET, 3-3 after 90mins): Eyemouth showed true grit and determination to pull off a superb victory over Premier Division side Tynecastle in this thrilling cup tie at Warner Park.
Jamie Butler gave Tynecastle the lead from the penalty spot after eight minutes, and Daryl Burdett doubled the lead half and hour later after beating Adam Mutch to a long ball and slotting home.
Jonathan Brown stabbed home a corner to pull a goal back for Eyemouth and a glancing header from Sean Philips pulled them level on the hour mark.
Three minutes later, the visitors were back in front as Thomson brought down Butler just inside the United box, and the Tynecastle forward slotted home his second spot-kick of the match.
Route one football pulled the home side level for a second time in the 75th minute, with Connor Lough picking up on a ball from the keeper and steering the ball into the net from 25 yards. The woodwork denied Caddow the chance to win the tie for Tynecastle with the last kick of the 90 minutes before a short-range Steven Shennan strike secured victory for Eyemouth with two minutes of extra time left.
