Bamburgh Castle moved to within a point of leaders and reigning champions Alnmouth (Foxton) A after a 12-0 win over Foxton B in round six, the A team having been held to a draw at Magdalene Fields.
Dunstanburgh Castle A and Linden Hall continue to lead the way in Division 2 and 3 respectively.

The Wilson Spoons and Ping 4BBB winners were Claire Whirfield and Wendy Martin on 42 pts. Runners-up were Jill Hodge and Di Johnson on 36pts.
There was an excellent turnout amongst the Senior Section last week for the Malcom Patterson Memorial Match. Winner, with 41 stableford points, was Bill Dunn. 2nd Colin Grieve 38 points on countback from I. McNeil also 38 points.
Graeme Henry led the pack in the Summer Meeting last Sunday with a score of 76-6-70 on countback from 2nd placed Myles Wilson 72-2-70. 3rd Keith Hossack 78-7-71 on countback from Glen McIntosh 80-9-71.
Richard Perryman topped the table in Div 2 with a score of 94-20-74. In 2nd place was Garth Cormack with 94-20-74 and third place was claimed by Mark Rogerson 90-13-77.
Congratulations go to Clive Batson, Jim Black and James Patterson who all have achieved the magic ‘Hole in One’ recently.
This coming Saturday (July 4) is a Four Ball Better Ball (Pairs) Open competition.

Saturday, July 25 is the next four-person Team Q-Am Stableford 4bbb, sponsored by the King’s Head. Results from the John Leigh Memorial were - 1st Sean Jackson 39pts bb9, 2nd John Ruthford 39pts, 3rd Greg Wardhaugh 38pts.
Ladies June Medal - 1st Margaret McMurchie 89 - 17- 72, 2nd Marion Black 87 - 14 - 73, 3rd Angela Sharp 108 - 35 - 73.
Next weekend sees the first round of the Friday 12 holes Safe Remedies Stableford competition and on Saturday it is the Josh Morton Memorial and Ladies EWGA Medal Round.
On Sunday the Men’s July Medal and Ladies Semi Final Club Championship will be held.
Lady Captain’s day on June 21 was won by Anne Lathan 39 points, second Glynis Lawson, 34 points and third Nicki Claydon, 32 points.
The winner of the nine-hole competition was Lynda Pinder with 16 points.
Winners of the longest drives were Lynne Bannister (silver) and Carol Lovell (bronze). Nearest the pin winners were Alison Claydon, 1st , Anne Locke, 10th, and Glynis Lawson, 15th.
The Mary Day Memorial and Ida Douglas Trophy played on June 28 was won by Lorraine Bewley 85-14-71 on countback from Nicki Claydon, 82-11-71 and third was Susan Hornsby, 88-14-74 on countback from Eileen Robinson, 106-32-74.
The Curry Cup, a two-man Texas scramble was held on Saturday, June 27 and the runaway winners were Stuart Lowrey and Andrew Carr.
On Sunday the third round of the Losdale and Cowens Eclectic was held and the winner was George Wilkinson 88-18-70 ahead of Andrew Carr 85-12-73.
