Results from week two of the North Northumberland League were:
Div 1 - Berwick 7, MFGC A 5; Alnmouth B 0, Alnmouth A 12; Div 2 - Warkworth 4, Dunstanburgh A 8; Div 3 - MFGC B 5, Percy Wood 7.

After the first two rounds positions are:

A total of 23 Nil Returns! This gives an indication of how tough playing conditions were last Sunday for the Ford Trophy competition. The weather did not deter the leaders who, despite the elements, recorded some really good scores.
Div 1: Winner, with a score of 77-5-72, was Dave Chidley. Adam Laidlaw claimed the runner up spot with 83-10-73. Full credit though goes to Ivan Martin who shot an incredible 74 to record the lowest gross score of the day to finish third.
Course Standard Scratch for the day being 76. Other noteworthy scores were: James Patterson, Graeme Henry and Les Wallace who all had a nett 76.
Div 2: 1st Mark Rogerson 88-14-74. 2nd Mike Robertson 92-16-76 and 3rd Andy Richardson 92-13-79.
Winner of the Ladies May Medal was Jane Johnson on 88-11-77. 2nd Philippa Dunn 94-14-80 and 3rd Janis Davison 95-12-83.
This coming Saturday (23rd) is a Club Teas Scramble and on Sunday (24th) May Medal (Men). The TexMex Open Ladies Competition will be played on Monday, May 25.
Round four of the SWP 12 Eclectic was won by Derek Pearson with 53-08-45, second with a better back nine was Brian Renton 53-05-48 and third went to Colin Weatherhead 61-13-48.
On Saturday the NNGL Open Day was held in very blustery conditions, Danny Young used his local knowledge of the course to come out on top with 39 points, second went to John Bain from Goswick 34 points and third was Tom Miller from Percy Wood on 33 points.
The qualifying round of The Officers Cup was held on Sunday, Mark Lockhart took the honours with a 83-13-70,second was Peter Simmons 80-09-71 and the in form Danny Young took the third spot with a 80-08-72.
The second round of the ladies Tait Sports Cup was won by Kara Yule with 33 points with Elaine Sharp taking the runners up place with 32 points.
Congratulation go to Ewan Fyvie, playing in a Texas Scramble at Seahouses on Saturday he had a hole in one at the 10th, reports suggest that if the ball did the wall of death and was travelling at 130mph before dropping into the cup!!! He did buy the drinks in the clubhouse afterwards.
The Maurice Rutherford Memorial Trophy takes place this weekend.
A very blustery weekend make scoring difficult, and the winners of Saturday’s Proctor and Makepeace greensomes were Stuart Lowrey and Terry Carr with 38 points. Runners up were Geoff Brown and Mick Hornsby with 36.
Sunday was the second round of the Chairman’s Cup and the winner was Geoff Brown with 35 points beating Andrew Carr with 34.
