Berwick Bri Robertson put on a stunning display as he successfully made his K1 Kickboxing debut representing the Tweedmouth based ‘Fight Academy’ on a packed ‘Duel 3’ fight card in Newcastle.

Robertson’s fight took place under full contact pro rules in the super heavyweight division, the bout being scheduled for three two-minute rounds.

It was apparent from the outset that Robertson’s supreme conditioning and technique would unlikely see the fight go the distance.

A head kick narrowly glancing his opponent in round one only prolonged what was to become a painful night for a game opponent. After one minute and 20 seconds of round two, Robertson was deemed the victor via TKO, a barrage of very heavy strikes leaving the opposing corner no option but to pull their fighter out of danger.

Robertson’s many years of martial arts experience paid off, looking flawless on his long awaited K1 debut.

Also representing The Fight Academy, Jessica Bathgate of Alnwick recently brought home the silver medal after a fantastic display from a Shan shou Kickboxing competition in Milton Keynes.

All these accomplishments followed Liam Holborn’s recent display at ‘The Battle of the Beasts’ Crossfit competition in Colchester, which continues to put The Fight Academy and Tweed Crossfit on the map.
