In spite of a very poor weather forecast, 12 hardy members of Duns Tennis Club met last Sunday to play for the Reiver’s Trophy, postponed from the summer.
The weather turned out to be a bit better than predicted, and play was able to continue throughout a dull and occasionally drizzly afternoon.
The finalists were Liz Dixon and Neil Harvey and Fiona Hodge and Andrew Plenderleith, with Fiona and Andrew winning after a spirited match.
Cis Redpath presented trophies to the winners and runners-up. Thanks are due to Redpath Tyres for sponsorship of a very enjoyable tournament.
