Eyemouth boxer Geordie White has become Scottish Schoolboy champion for 2015 in his debut season after winning through his final at the weekend.

The impressive 10-year-old, who claimed the eastern district title while making his ring debut earlier this year, built on the regional accolade to add the national title to his silverware collection. Having defeated Thomas Kelly of Barn ABC by a unanimous decision in the semi-final last weekend, White went on to contest the 2004 born Schoolboy 32kg category final at Ravenscraig sports centre in Motherwell on Saturday. The Chirnside ABC youngster rode the pressure and continued his unbeaten run when it mattered, beating Aaron Cullen of Garnock Valley ABC to the gold medal by a split decision.

His clubmates Jack Grant and Bailee Noon had been in action earlier in the contest, both exiting after the semi finals.

Thomas Douglas from Lindisfarne made the 1999 born junior final but was on the wrong end of a split decision, with the title going to Jack Nicholas of Cleland ABC.
