There was another big entry with 18 crews taking part split between five men’s crews, three ladies crews and 10 mixed crews.
However, the spectacle of the day was perhaps not the rowing but the effort crews had made with their original and humorous fancy dress costumes.
There were Super Heroes, Shrek, Huntsmen and Smurfs to name but a few.
The Fancy Dress competition was won by the Spice Girls with Posh, Baby, Scary and Ginger Spices on board.
Despite the rain enthusiasm was not dampened and the racing took place all afternoon with each crew being given at least two races.
Winners of the men’s competition were Premiership Paddlers,
The ladies winners were Poop Dickless and the heavily contested mixed race was won by Disco Divas.
Winners of the wooden spoons were Row me O and Juliette, Odd One Out and Tally Row respectively.
The members of the rowing club would like to thank Premiership Paddlers, Super Heroes, Random, Row me o & Juliette, The Rowing Stones, Smurfs 2, The Spice Girls, Shrek, Tally Row, Disco Divas, Saved by the Boat, Tree-Mendous Students, Scooby Doo, Wild West Paddlers, Allanton Inn, Poop Dickless, BARC-ing Mad and Odd 1 out for being such good sports.
