Gold at the double for Keira

Three young Duns Badminton Club and Borders Badminton Group players returned from the weekend’s weekends Badminton England U15 Bronze tournament at Tyneside Badminton Centre with no less than six medals.

2 Golds, 3 Silver and a Bronze medal haul for 3 young Duns Badminton Club and Borders Badminton Group players at last weekends Badminton England U15 Bronze tournament at Tyneside Badminton Centre.

Keira Waddell won Gold in Singles against Zoe Beamson from Northumberland 21-15 , Gold in Level Doubles, partnering with Anna Railton from Northumberland in which they won after a round robin event losing no matches, but a couple of close ones ending 21-20, and Silver in the mixed doubles with Andrew Hogg, losing to Emily Harrison and Alex Jay 15-21.  Andrew also made it to the semi final of the singles to secure a bronze medal where he played the eventual winner of the boys event Vaibhav Mahajan from Leicester. Eugene Stokes took Silver in the singles, in a close final which ended 22-20.
