Nicky Clark scored a double as Tweedmouth’s produced a stylish display in their first game back after the festive break.
The home side started the game brightly and kept the ball well from back to front and they created numerous chances causing the Hawick goalkeeper into making several excellent saves to keep the score level.
But the keeper couldn’t stop a piece of sublime skill and finish from Grant Sharp, who chipped the goalkeeper from 20 yards to find the back of the net.
The second goal came soon from Grieg Sharp and the third goal came from a well worked corner with centre half Gibb rising above the rest to finish with a header from five yards.
In the second half Tweedmouth continued to attack with Nicky Clark scoring a brace to put the game out of reach for Hawick.
With the game over four changes were made to give players returning from injury some valuable match time with young Ryan Oliver going close to scoring.
Hawick did eventually pull a goal back with a fine lob from 25 yards.
Keeper Cain and his defenders gave a solid account of themselves
This was a good performance and a great team effort.
