This was Lowick’s first away game of the season and they were also looking for their first win.
Lowick travelled with the bare 11 players, but within three minutes they were one up, Jenny Patterson scoring after a great ball from Mel Darling from the left.
It was Darling who set up Lowick’s second, with another great ball for Michelle Stewart to slot home her first of the game with just five minutes on the clock.
Lowick then began to run the show and they went three up after 11 minutes with Sally Dawson providing a pin point ball for Stewart’s second of the game.
Prudhoe refused to give up and a great shot from the edge of the box saw an equally good save from Lowick keeper Powell, but the rebound fell nicely for the Prudhoe forward to slot home.
Straight from the kick off Stewart won the ball back, she went on a mazy run which saw her beat three players, then release a fierce shot into the top left hand corner to make it 1-4 at the break.
The second half started just like the first, with Lowick pressing forward. This resulted in a poor clearance from the Prudhoe keeper which fell kindly for Stewart who didn’t fail with the opportunity to make it 1-5.
Prudhoe pulled one back after a mistake in the Lowick defence. But again Lowick scored straight from the kick off with good work from Jodie Robinson finding Dawson, who then produced a defence splitting ball for Amy Hately to slot home.
Prudhoe went close but a one handed save by Powell was their only real chance.
With five minutes left Patterson had to leave the pitch with an ankle injury.
Best for Lowick was Georgia Thompson, with player of the match going to Michelle Stewart , who has scored 10 goals in three games.
Lowick’s next game is on Sunday, home to Birtley St Joseph.
