Duns managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory in this encounter, having lead for most of the game.
It was the home side who started strongly and the Duns ‘keeper was forced into a fine save with only two minutes on the clock.
But it was the Dingers who took the lead on 13 minutes with a Michael Robinson strike.
Time and again the home defence was caught out but the visitors failed to punish them and it proved costly when Rovers levelled the match on 25 minutes.
Still Duns missed chance after chance until Robinson rounded the ‘keeper for his second goal to give Duns a 2-1 half-time lead.
Peebles proved more of a threat in the second half yet it was the visitors who had the better chances to put the game beyond doubt.
Those chances were not taken though and in the 83rd minute the referee awarded a penalty against Duns captain Gary Renton when it looked to everyone watching that he had quite clearly played the ball.
The spot-kick was tucked away to square the match but worse was to follow when in the 90th minute the home striker found himself totally unmarked to head home the winner.
