Duns concluded their East of Scotland League campaign with a thrilling 3-2 win over Ormiston on Saturday.

And it was striker Stevie Shennan who was the hero of the hour, netting a hat-trick to give the Dingers all three points, which lifted them up to seventh place in the table.

The visitors twice took the lead in the sixth and 75th minutes through opportunist Shennan. He also brought out two great saves from the Ormiston keeper and had another come back off the upright with the keeper beaten.

Ormiston also had clear-cut chances in the game, with the Duns defence at sixes and sevens.

The Berwickshire side clinched the game with the decider scored by Shennan in the 82nd minute.

Duns: S Coyle, E Sherry, R Burns, S McCoul, J Ainslie, S McGregor ( J Brydon 62 ), M Weatherburn, K Lee, S Shennan, M Robinson, G Waddell.

Eyemouth went down to a single goal defeat when they played bottom of the table Hawick Royal Albert on Saturday.

The only goal of the game was scored by Graeme Young after 37 minutes.
