Lowick had a point to prove against Prudhoe after they knocked Lowick out of the County Cup.
Lowick got out of the blocks the quickest with Michelle Stewart causing the defence problems , but every shot seemed to find the keeper, Amy Hately and Mel darling also couldn’t find the net.
After the half hour, and against the run of play, Prudhoe’s striker evaded a couple of challenges to fire a shot in which keeper Powell couldn’t prevent friom finding a way through. This was the only goal of the first half and at the interval Lowick trailed 1-0..
Lowick, however, made a good start to the second half and a shot from Jodie Robinson was fumbled by the keeper which made it 1-1.
This gave Lowick the momentum and a Mel Darling free kick was spilled by the keeper for player of the match Amy Hately to follow in and score.
The Lowick defence weren’t troubled in the second half and Michelle Stewart made it 3 - 1 from a well worked corner.
