Duns’ recent run came to an end when they were hit for six by Heriot Watt in Edinburgh on Saturday.
The Berwickshire side conceded their first goal after only six minutes and could have been 3-0 down inside the first 10 minutes but for some poor finishing by the home side.
The Dingers weathered the storm and hit back with a quick-fire double through Stevie Shennan on 20 and 26 minutes to lead 2-1.
A good claim for a penalty was waved away after a defender stopped a Shennan shot with both hands and with no further scoring before half-time the teams turned around with Duns 2-1 to the good.
The second half saw a complete cave-in by the Dingers who conceded in the 57th minute then twice more in the space of 33 seconds of the 64th minute.
Two further goals in the 88th and 93rd minutes rounded off the scoring and a bad day for Carl Hudson’s side.
This weekend Duns face Ormiston for the second time in three weeks.
