Weekend sporting fixtures were decimated by the cold weather, with only one game surviving in the Border Amateur League and one in the East of Scotland League.
Berwick Rangers’ trip to Elgin City in League Two was postponed, while rugby fixtures involving Berwick and Duns were also called off.
Tweedmouth Amateurs beat CFC Bowholm 4-0 at the Five Arches in Division C of the Border Amateur League. It was the only BAL game to go ahead and the league now breaks for the festive period until January 10.
The only East of Scotland match to survive was in Edinurgh, Leith Athletic beating Civil Service Strollers 3-1 on their artificial pitch at Meadowbank.
In rugby, Berwick’s trip to Langholm and the Linlithgow v Duns matches were both frozen off.
