Hawick were the visitors to a blustery Warner Park and were looking to get revenge for a defeat earlier in the season.
But it was Eyemouth who got of to the best possible start. An early corner fell to Scott Adamson just inside the Hawick box and he made no mistake in slotting home the first in two minutes of what was to become a goal fest.
Ten minutes gone and a battling Hawick got the equaliser with a shot from outside the box, but three minutes later it was the fishermen who retook the lead through Buckley who made no mistake with a rasping shot.
Both teams beavered away and created and wasted chances in a scrappy game but the fishermen again broke away through Adamson who played in Gavin Burrell, who made no mistake in making it 3-1 to Eyemouth .
But Eyemouth were guilty of switching off and the visitors struck twice before half-time to make it 3-3 at the break.
Hawick missed two sitters at the start of the second half, and eventually went in front after 70 minutes.
Mutch then made a brilliant double save to keep Eyemouth in the game, and as tempers flared both teams had a man sent off after mass battle.
This spurred Eyemouth back to life and Scott Adamson flicked home the equaliser before Jess rifled home the winning goal.
