Duns suffered a rare defeat when they were beaten at home by Peebles Rovers in the King Cup second round.
In extremely windy conditions, Duns played with the elements in the first half, and Stevie Shennan scored a well-worked goal to put the home side in front after 11 minutes.
James Brydon added a second in the 21st minute, again with good movement in the tricky conditions.
Duns went in at half time 2-0 up, but the conditions were such that it was doubtful this would be enough.
This proved to be the case when Peebles scored five minutes after the restart, adding a second in the 56th minute to draw level at 2-2.
Peebles ŵere then reduced to ten men when they had one of their number sent off.. But this did not deter the visitors who seemed more determined than their hosts to win the game.
Dougie Brydon was harshly red carded conceding a foul just outside the penalty area, and the resulting free kick proved to be the winner four minutes from time.
