Draw made for 2014 Berwick Charities Cup on The Stanks

The draw has been made for the 2014 Berwick Charities Cup, which as usual will be played off on The Stanks during the summer.

This year a total of 27 teams have entered the competition.

There will be one preliminary round game, ten first round fixtures, whilst six sides have received byes directly to the second round.

As usual, all Tuesday and Thursday games will kick off at 7pm, with saturday fixtures starting at 6.30pm.

All matches will be decided on the night, with extra-time if teams are level after 90 minutes, and penalties if required.

Preliminary round:

Tues May 13 - Ayatom Amateurs v North Sunderland.

First round:

Thurs May 15 - Springhill Supreme v Two Moons; Sat May 17 - AS Coldingham v XT Warriors; Tues May 20 - Eagle White Snakes v Zlatan FC; Thurs May 22 - Bamburgh v CBOT;

Sat May 24 - Belford FC v Craster Rovers; Tues May 27 - FNF v Tekkers; Thurs May 29 - FC Hurkur v Ayton Amateurs or North Sunderland; Sat May 31 - Shilbottle FC v Mixtures; Tues June 3 - Tekkers Lovakia v Highfields United; Thurs June 5 - Over 40s v Tweedmouth Juniors.

The six teams who have received byes are:

FC Twente Something; Gentlemen of Berwick Rugby Club; The Mighty Thatch; Free Trade Bakes; Electric Soup and The King’s Head.

As always, collections will be made during the games with all the monies raised being donated to local charities in Berwick and the surrounding district.
