Eyemouth went down to a 4-2 away defeat in the Qualifying League against Civil Service on Tuesday.
The Strollers had the better of the first half and found themselves 2-0 up at the break.
The home side continued to make the running after the break, and mistakes by Burns and Mutch saw CSS move into a commanding 4-0 lead.
But Eyemouth continued to show some spirit and goals by Burrell (from the penalty spot) and McCrudden (with a free kick) gave them a foothold in the match.
Meanwhile, Duns held a Berwick Rangers XI to a 2-2 draw at New Hawthorn Park on Tuesday.
Goals by in-form striker Michael Robinson (eight so far this term) and Sean Robertson, gave the Dingers a 2-0 half-time advantage.
But manager Carl Hudson made six changes in the second half, and Berwick, who fielded a mixture of first team, fringe players and trialists, hit back for a draw.
