Biggar are put to the Sword by Eyemouth

Mark Brown and Andrew Sword each grabbed a double as Eyemouth Amateurs hammered Biggar in their first game of the season on Border Amatuer League B Division.

An early injury 10 minutes in for Biggar left them with 10 men with no substitutes available.

However, the home side battled well but the first of Eyemouth’s goals came in the 30th minute. A great through ball from Gordon Mcinnes saw Mark Brown chip the keeper.

The second goal quickly followed with a Biggar player heading into his own net and the third goal came just before half-time with a John Dougall header from a Brown cross.

Biggar made it 3-1 when they converted an free kick but Eyemouth responded quickly with Brown netting his second with a neat finish.

Eyemouth sealed the game late on with two goals from Andrew Sword. The first was a easy tap in from a Michael Gillen cut-back and his second goal was a 25 yard strike that flew in the bottom corner.
