Leith Athletic 5

Coldstream welcomed league leaders Leith Athletic to Home Park and it was the Streamers who started brightly with the first chance of the game falling to John Crawford who saw his shot from 10 yards saved by the visiting keeper Iain Gordon.

It was the visitors who went in front after 10 minutes. A corner on the left was headed out only for Kerr Allan to fire a 25 yard shot past Willie Stewart in the home goal.

The game’s first yellow was next for the home side’s Kieran Ingram and it was no surprise when Leith went two in front again from a corner. This time Sean Melvin headed home on 28 minutes.

The home side started to come more into the game and from a free kick James Scott headed across goal for Ash Langford to nod home on 39 minute.

The second half started just as the first finished with the Streamers taking the game to the visitors, but they just could’nt find that opening to get the equaliser, and on 60 minutes the visitors went fuurther ahead when from a free kick on the right Kyle Fee fired past Stewart in the home goal.

James Scott was then shown a yellow card for the home side and only minutes later Fee again scored from a free kick this time from a more central area.

But the Streamers were not finished and after good play by Langford, Des Sutherland shot home from a tight angle.

There was also more to come from Leith and following a corner Melvin fired home a loose ball to make the points safe.
