Eyemouth United to return
Eyemouth United FC are set to rejoin the East of Scotland League in season 2020-21.
The Berwickshire football club announced it would be back in the fold after withdrawing from Divison One Conference ‘A’ – and replaced by Kinnoull – at the end of the 2018-19 campaign.
The Warner Park outfit opted to take a year’s non-playing membership and reconstruct its squad, with the aim of coming back this year – whenever the game resumes.
Their new manager is Kev Wright, with coaching colleagues Paul Huebner and Cam Waterhouse.
In a statement, the club said: “After a year away from the league, the club has strengthened in resolve and in its support. Eyemouth United will compete once more. All at the club are committed to continuing its work in delivering a pathway for all in football.”
Kev said he’d seek to bridge the gap between a very good Eyemouth youth set-up and the main squad.
“I hope we can utilise some of the youth team, while I’ll also be looking to bring in some experience and quality,” he said.
