How there were only five goals in this SFA South Region Challenge Cup tie is a mystery as both teamsmissed countless chances.
Michael Robinson was the first to take one of the many chances when he fired home a shot from an acute angle to put the Dingers ahead. Three minutes later Luke Strangeways netted with a powerful header to give the home side a 2-0 half-time advantage.
Duns were quickly into their stride after the interval and Jordan Lauder was brought down in the box for a spot kick which he lashed into the net himself for 3-0. The visitors looked like the stuffing had been knocked out of them but they kept pressing and pulled a goal back to make it 3-1 with 15 minutes to go. Duns rarely threatened after that but in the last minute Jordan Lauder added his second when after a defensive mix up he poked the ball past the keeper to seal a 4-1 win.
