Duns ran out comfortable 7-2 winners against Kelso United at New Hawthotn Park on Wednesday night.
Free kick specialist Connor Devaney put the Dingers ahead in the 16th minute.
Kelso equalised after 32 minutes but just five minutes later Devaney scored a second to put his side back in front.
Michael Robinson was replaced by Sean Robertson after a heavy tackle on the number nine.
Jordan Lauder made it 3-1 to Duns after 42 minutes and five minutes after the break Devaney completed his hat-trick
On the hour mark Sean Robertson got himself on the score sheet and Captain Dez Chisholm made it six, running on to a through ball dispatching his well placed shot past the Kelso keeper.
Kelso scored a second in 78 minutes only for Luke Strangeways to add a seventh for Duns two minutes later.
The Dingers now face Stirling University Reserves at home on Saturday in the final game in group C of the qualifying cup and a win could see them through to the next phase.
