Easthouses Lily ran out deserved winners.

Mark Brown scored a hat-trick for the visitors to secure a victory that takes them to the top of the East of Scotland Premier Division table with maximum points after three games.

Coldstream remain without a point after three matches, but the biggest worry for manager Neil Oliver is the number of goals his team are conceding. They have let in 13 in their past three matches.

On an afternoon to forget, Coldstream’s problems were not helped when defender Greg Hay had to be carried off on a stretcher.

On the plus side, there are goals in this Coldstream team. Captain John Crawford grabbed another two in this game, both of them coming just before the interval. It meant Coldstream went in at half time level at 2-2, but they scarcely deserved after being outplayed for most of the first 45 minutes.

Easthouses took control from the start and went ahead in the 10th minute when left-back Gordon Wilson crossed for Brown, who controlled and fired home from 10 yards.

The second goal in the 38th minute was well worked by Easthouses. After an intricate passing move, the Coldstream defence were hesitant as Brown rifled high into the net from eight yards.

Crawford pulled one back out of the blue with a header which looped over the Easthouses goalkeeper from a long throw. Two minutes later he powered a header into the bottom corner after excellent wing play from Jonny Simpson on the left.

It was two fleeting moments of hope for Coldstream in an otherwise poor performance.

The individual errors, sloppy passing and poor positioning continued in the second half, and Easthouses got their reward.

Brown completed his hat-trick by latching onto a through ball by McMillan and slotting past Coldstream goalkeeper Mark Walters.

The fourth came in the 62nd minute when Graham Young went on a solo run and firing a shot into the back of the net.

Robertson screwed a shot wide with the goal at his meryc, but in the 73rd minute McDermott fired home from an acute angle to complete the rout.
