Berwick’s Jonny Fairbairn has expressed his disappointment at the team’s failure to reach the end of season play-offs.

Fairbairn, who comes from Milfield, is the only local Ranger, and says there was a sense of under-achievement within the camp after the side failed to make a top four finish in the Scottish Second Division.

“We need to be more consistent,” he said. “When things didn’t work out we didn’t seem to have a Plan B.

“Next year we have to try and improve on that. The team needs to improve and I think I need to improve as an individual as well.”
