Berwick striker Dean Carse has been sidelined after being involved in a car accident.
The teenager, who has only recently broken into the first team squad, sustained suspected whiplash injuries following the crash.
Manager Ian Little said: “Dean was sitting in his car when another vehicle ran into the side of him.
“He wasn’t seriously hurt, but he was complaining of a soreness around his neck and shoulders and so he went to the hospital.
“It’s a shame for Dean because he has only started to break into the first team squad, and only recently he was handed his full home debut.
“We’re not exactly sure how long he is going to be out, but we don’t want to run the risk of bringing him back too quickly.”
Carse, who has already signed a contract extension to keep him at Shielfield Park next season, is highly rated by Little.
He missed last Tuesday’s home game against Queen’s Park and was also unavailable for the trip to East Stirling on Saturday.
