Rangers game is a sell-out for home supporters

BERWICK Rangers have confirmed that their third division league game against newco Rangers at Shielfield on Sunday, August 26, which will be shown live on ESPN, is a sell-out for home fans.

A statement issued by the club on Monday said: “The game against Rangers is sold out as far as Berwick fans are concerned. A significant proportion of the Berwick allocation of 1140 was snapped up through postal applications, by season ticket holders and members of the two fans’ organisations, the Supporters’ Trust and Supporters’ Club, who were regarded as priority customers for this game.

“Tickets went on sale to the general public on Saturday, and other postal applications took care of the last remaining tickets.

“Priority Customer tickets were posted on Friday 10, and others were sent out on Monday 13.

“Rangers are dealing with the away fans’ allocation directly from their ticket office at Ibrox, and fully expect to sell their share of a capacity Shielfield crowd of over 4000 supporters. Fan’s are reminded that the game is a 12pm kick-off and are requested to arrive at the ground in good time to safely accommodate everyone before the game starts. Gates open at 10.30am.”
