Stevie Notman has become the first player to sign a new contract with Berwick Rangers for next season.
The midfielder, who is the club’s longest serving player, is currently sidelined with a knee injury and has missed the last two games.
Like a lot of the current squad his contract was due to expitre at the end of this season, but player-manager Colin Cameron has been quick to recognise his value and has signed him up for another season, the new deal running to March 2015.
Cameron said: “Stevie is currently on the injured list but we see him improving all the time and look on him as very much a key member of our squad.”
The manager is expected to be looking at other possible deals in due course.
