Darren Fletcher at Shielfield to watch Berwick win

BERWICK RANGERS 2, LIVINGSTON 1: Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher was in the stand at Shielfield to watch Berwick beat First Division Livingston in a friendly. Lee Currie scored both goals.

Both teams were pleased to get some game time under their belts ahead of the new campaign, and on a sunny afternoon the visitors probably deserved a draw in a game of flowing football.

Currie opened the scoring four minutes after the break before doubling is tally on 53 minutes with a powerful 12-yard volley.

Marc McNulty pulled a goal back for Livingston with a neat finish inside the six-yard box after a neat passing move.

Scotland captain Fletcher was in the stand to support his cousin, Damian Gielty, Berwick’s new signing.
