Currie searching for new club

FORMER Berwick Rangers midfielder Paul Currie is searching for a new club after red tape forced him to play out the last four months of last season at Musselburgh Juniors.

Hamilton Accies paid a transfer fee for the 26 year-old in August after he had started the season at Shielfield and were rewarded with two goals in 10 appearances, however Currie was released in January.

UEFA rules only allow players to play for two clubs in the one season, so Currie could not play at a senior level until the start of season 2012-2013, however he has kept in shape by playing with the Olivebank Stadium.

Currie said: “Unfortunately I could not move anywhere in January but having played nearly 100 games at a senior level I am keen to get back in.”
